@monk Manager rating is supposed to indicate experience with competitive play, either against a computer AI (fewer points) or human opponent (more points). No points are awarded for solitaire because they would be too easy to get (you always win).
I’d love to see an option added when starting a game that you can specify minimums for players to qualify for games. Examples: A J-4 can’t enter the game before the 7th inning. Or rosters exclude players with fewer than x plate appearances or y innings pitched. Things like that would be nice adds.
@hoffridge that’s usually what I use too. I’ve been pulling up a daily list of transactions before each game to make any changes that my team (Mets) made, but it will get tricky to keep up with the other teams as I get further into the season. Sounds like historical active rosters is a void that someone needs to fill…and here I thought the internet had everything! lol
Hi - RE: “I am not using the Astros because they are filthy cheaters and don’t deserve to be in the WS.”
-That wasn’t the official conclusion of the MLB investigation. Per the report, and the actual followup questions and answers about it, the Astros did not cheat in 2019, per MLB. And Gerrit Cole has said repeatedly that the Astros didn’t cheat last year.
you could create a collection for the custom team then go into the game history tab and click on the collections tab of each game and add the new collection to the game. That would give you all the games in your custom team’s collection. Depending on how far along you are, it could be a long process. I have done this with a couple of leagues to get career stats.
There is grade advancement in APGA GO, for pitchers throwing consecutive shutout (or unearned runs) innings. You just have to make sure that, when you set up each game, you click the ‘Optional Pitching Rule’ to ON position.
You’re correct about the no first-batter grade advancement for mid-inning relievers. That’s always been a frustration for me, too.
@apba-go-jeremy Along that same vein, here is another issue that may be solved with the same subroutine. When a player gets injured or ejected, I have seen Malcolm replace them with a pitcher, and not a player that plays that same position. E.G. In a recent game, the catcher was ejected and a relief pitcher was put in the lineup behind the plate.
