Thinking about buying a season questions
-
I am considering buying a season like 1964 or 1988. I would use the season for a possible replay. I know I would need to add ons custom rosters and collections from other posts. Does the micro manager come with the season or is that extra? What is the cost of the each add on and micro manager if it is not included?

@andyhanna1958 The existing MicroManager (that has a tendency to disappoint replayers due to its WS-esque behavior), is free.
If you’re only doing the one replay, the three free Collections might be enough for you, but the two free lineups per team may not - or might, depending on how much you change lineups between games, etc. Unlimited lineups are bundled with unlimited Collections. The unlock is $10.
To create a Custom Team/roster, you’ll need the Custom Teams unlock also ($10).
Both are one-time purchases.
Seasons are $20, so you’d be looking at $30-$40 to start your replay.
If you think you’ll be interested in more than one season, a subscription at $20 a month starts to make sense, depending on how long it will take you to complete your replay. A subscription includes the full catalog of team data, and all unlocks.
Hope that helps,

@apba-go-jeremy Thank you for your prompt response.I have a replay I am doing on the computer game for the 1921 season for all the teams. I am using actual line up except in the case of injury or a non carded player. The other thing I have done is set the rosters as they were at the start of 1921 season. Currently I am playing the games on July 20th.Then as the season progresses I am make the trades etc on or near the date of the trade. I am also using two micro managers that are for 1920’s . Hence the reason I asked the micromanager question. From the way APBA GO is currently setup I would create the lineups as I played the game.
Now as to the collection if a collection is for one team then I would need the unlimited collection and line up unlock. If there is an unlock for custom rosters I would need that as well. One last question is if I buy a season can I play a game against a friend with him using a team from that season?
Thank you again for all your help.

@andyhanna1958 Hi,
Collections are very flexible in that they aggregate stats from any game included in them.
You can add a game to a Collection from Game History, or right at the end of a game, which is the easier way to go.
For a single season replay, you’d need one Collection.
Plan on playing two seasons and want to aggregate career stats between them and have separate stats for each season? Either use three Collections (season 1, season 2 and combined), or use one Collection and flag/unflag included games when you want to change the stat breakdown (having three Collections is the easier method, I think).
You can create a Collection for free and try it out with games played with the free teams. You can always delete the Collection later to make room for another.
To maintain a custom roster for the purpose of trading, etc. you would need the Custom Teams unlock. It will allow you to create a roster that can be filled with any players you have access to. There is a search feature for selecting pitchers and position players, by year, team, some stats, etc. You can add in bulk (for example, search for the 1920 Yankees pitchers, select all of them and add to the roster), or one at a time (search for 1920 Carl Mays, select and add to roster).
Finally, both you and your opponent must own the teams they play with. Teams cost $3, and gift certificates are available in the store.
Have fun,
Jeremy
