@jimrac I started out in the 70s with Avalon Hill All time All Star Baseball, moved on to Strat-o-matic and found APBA in 1984 when I went to college. Majored in APBA (full 162 game seasons each semester) with minors in Euchre, Hearts and Communications. Found APBAGo about a year ago and am now addicted to it.
Johnny Vander Meer’s attempt to match his own big league claim to fame with a second straight no-hitter lasted one batter as Frankie Frisch singled to lead off the game for the Giants.
@myrmidon unfortunately the computer plays as if the game is the 7th game of the world series and all bets are off. If you play solitaire you can manage both teams.
I have a collection with 1095 games in it and I have hit 511 triples. That spans all types and time periods of teams. my most triples per PA were by my dead ball era teams which makes sense to me hope that helps
@hoffridge also–it would also be great if a league could compile and share the stats so that they could all be together for league leaders and things like that. That would be awesome.
Thanks for the info. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t some way to do it I didn’t know about as a newcomer. It will be greatly improved experience once the game is capable of doing this. Thanks again!
@hoffridge I’m thinking that one would be a tough work around. Because once the DH enters the game as a fielder then the pitcher is going to have to bat and that would throw off the entire format.
@tsbl The players are not removed from teams. New Custom Teams are unique entities, so you can put the same player on all Custom Teams you create. Likewise, they will still be available on the historic team they played for.
