@alecotto75 What you provided was kind of what I was expecting as far as game play goes, but what about administration … things like league set-up, reports (standings, league leaders, team and player reports).

I mean I will end up writing a detailed document on all the steps I went through to get my replay started, but that won’t be for another six months (after I finish my BBW 1920 replay). I am just doing some scouting right now.

    Thanks again,

I agree but hopefully the owner of APBA has plans to further develop GO more and more.

Something like League Manager in Go would be amazing.

Thanks. I am going to start a single team replay (as played) with the 1901 Pirates. It will be fun to research the past and learn more baseball history while exploring the dead ball era. I am going to use APBA GO’s collections feature to keep all stats, etc.

    WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC Final

Can’t match Ohtani vs. Trout but I did have a thrilling finale for my tournament.

The Dominican Republic, on a roll since its stunning opening game loss to Israel, faced USA Metro, fresh off an upset win over USA West in the U.S. bracket. Johnny Cueto on the hill for the DR with Metro calling on steady southpaw John Tudor.

Metro got on the board in the second with Craig Biggio doubling home Rico Petrocelli.

Back-to-back doubles by Manny Ramirez and Vladimir Guerrero evened things in the top of the fourth.

The bottom of the fourth got wacky. Alex Rodriguez led off with a double and Petrocelli singled him home. Ken Singleton walked to put runners at first and second. Cueto proceeded to hit THREE straight batters — Biggio, Derek Jeter and Mike Trout) to force in two more runs giving Metro a 4-1 lead.

Things stayed quiet until the ninth when David Ortiz hit a three-run homer off Orel Hershiser to tie the game. Pedro Martinez retired Metro 1-2-3 in the bottom half of the inning to send the game into extras.

In the bottom of the tenth with one out, Singleton blasted a home run to right giving USA Metro the WBC Championship. Singleton hit .476 with 3 HRs and five RBI in the tournament and was named MVP for his heroics, edging out USA West’s Jeff Kent (.348-4-10) and the DR’s Ortiz (.250-4-9).

Hiroki Kuroda of Asia threw the most scoreless innings (14), six pitchers recorded two wins (including Metro’s Hershsier and John Candelaria), Joaquin Benoit of the DR posted the most saves (2) and Fernando Valenzuela of Mexico led all pitchers with 17 strikeouts.

@jtmiller Trying to replay the 1973 and 1986 Mets. Doing it pretty close to you and taking some ideas. Trying to stay as true as possible with the relievers. I use the actual starters and try very hard to use relivers as used. If auto play, they use Tom Seaver to close (He is some closer!). I have not gone crazy with traded players I just use someone similar. However if a regular starting position player is out that game I am sure to keep him out of the lineup, even if a traded player replaced him that day.

I am particularly interested in the 73 Mets. They were a true Cinderella story and it will be interesting to see how tings pan out statistically. I am seeing already the 86 Mets are very good. Playoffs would be quite interesting since both series Astros (SORRY) and Red Sox you can argue could have easily gone the other way.

How are you going about the replay? Is every team playing every game or are you playing one team or a smaller sample?

@Isotopecrunch not surprised. There are some monster cards in that season. Have fun. If ya need a partner to roll some of those tedious games gimme a shout I’d be willing

First step is that you will both need to purchase the “Custom Team” option which would let you create your Franchise All-Star Teams. You would also need to purchase the teams from which you want to build your rosters. Depending on how far back you want to go, you may want to get the subscription which gives you access to all the card sets that are available on APBAGo. Otherwise, you would need to purchase all the teams or seasons containing the players you are looking to use. Unfortunately, there is no ‘share’ option so you each would need to purchase the seasons. Keep in mind that if you choose the subscription and decide later to give it up, you would lose the players on your rosters.

@ncord Thanks for taking the time to let us know, even though in this case it seems like the values are correct.

Sometimes data errors do happen, and the GO platform does allow the Alpharetta team to correct them.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Impressive results, the most important indicator of the offense (runs) was just about on target. I played the the 57 season for awhile on BBW and the White Sox gave the Yanks all kinds of problems…
