Not challenge play rules

There are several different leagues that use a variety of different rules from using a players Jrating to determine games they can play, others go by actual games played or a percentage of, or Plate appearances. Pitchers are usually limited by grade but some leagues add an innings pitch restriction. Some leagues use a twist in roster management by either restricting the number of players you can keep each season, contracts for players, and a salary cap. I run several leagues covering a variety of eras, ITBL 1908, MYT 1934, GYA 1951, JAG 1963, DABB 1990 going in reverse.

oh and if he goes 3 batter beyond his limit he loses his Z if he has one. we do this by again ignoring the Z and IBB him. kind of simple but its all we have to work with to penalize a pitcher who is fatigued mess with his control

@RandySteinman Thanks for bringing this up. The optional individual ratings for the basic game are high on my APBA GO wish list. Makes late-inning defensive replacements a much bigger deal.

@TSBL Good to know. My problem appears to be that all my saved lineups have disappeared completely. Happened about two months ago. Now I have to rebuild from the default lineups every time I set up a game.

@BogotaBrave , I’ll be the odd manager. I’d take the B(Y). I think the Z and Y equal out, with a slight edge to Fielding 1. *warning…I play APBAGO and haven’t used the boards in a very long time!

Play Ball > Solitaire Mode> Auto Play (I believe one time cost is $20)

@falcon4fever I am replaying the 1973 Mets and 1986 Mets but more focus on 73. I like the progression of the lineups as the season goes (injuries etc). I was thinking of putting the 86 Mets on hold so I can enjoy that season by itself and possibly adding the 1973 Reds or Oakland A’s. Both are Mets post season opponents but also both very interesting teams.

And, I believe the same applies to APBA Basic with Cards & Dice which APBA GO is modeled after.

That makes a lot of sense with Mr. Bonds in front of him!

Turn off manual dice roll. Computer rolls it fast.

@striker2550 Yes, I do the same. Rain-outs were always a pain for me when playing solitaire tournaments. By clicking on that pre-set tab, the game just continues on as if nothing happened.
