Release 2.4.0

@APBA-GO-Jeremy - A walk off win scored too many runs. See pic. It scored 2 runs for PUIG.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy - Still showing wrong pitcher grade on field icon. I subbed in a grade B pitcher. The field icon shows grade D. See pic.

Just had the same error as has been described by others above. ‘C’ Pitcher (Billiard) enters the game, but appears on the mound as a ‘D’.
Will send note to GO Support…

If they just ‘appeared’ as D, it wouldn’t be so bad… but they are a D pitcher.
-
@bstark - yes! I’ve had some high scoring games and I’m sure it is because of this!
I wish they would communicate better. It’s been days with very little contact. Although not too expensive, it ain’t free either. Rant over… I’ll see myself out… -
Guys, just an FYI…
I sent a note re: the above Pitcher’s Grade issue to GO Support.
Already got a response back saying, “Thanks. Fix tomorrow.”
So it sounds like this can/will be resolved quickly.
RPS -
2.4.5 Deployed today
- Pitcher grade issue where starters without a relief grade were treated as non-pitchers (assigned D grade) is fixed. However, in testing, we discovered that an A pitcher is getting a bump where it shouldn’t. We’ll deploy early tomorrow to fix that one.
- Users playing as home will no longer get a 404 error if they launch a head-to-head game and click launch game before the away player.
- Injury re-rolls should not log extra runs
- Home and away teams appear on the correct end-game boxscore
- Games that end in the bottom of the ninth in a non-walk off scenario should score correctly (no extra runs)
We’re still working on the 500 error on game launch using certain custom teams. We’re having a hard time with this one because we can’t reproduce the error. We’ve done data analysis at the db level; we covered load balancer/routing issues; we’re still working on it.
Pedro’s pinch hitter pitcher problem is almost resolved. We’ll also try to push it out tomorrow morning.
Thanks for your continued help, support, and detailed bug reports.
Jeremy -
@APBA-GO-Jeremy when a starting pitcher comes in relief, he is still a D. Card and game might say he is something else, but results indicate he is a D.
-
@demello23-0 ps A starting pitcher came in and gave up a hit on a 9 with the bases empty, and a hit on an 8 with the bases empty.
-
I just had a couple of weird things happen in a game.
- With bases empty, batter (Brown) rolled a 44-8 against a B pitcher (Rixey) and result was a single. Result should have been a flyout to CF…
- Pitcher (Rixey) was later removed for a pinch-hitter (Dugey), and text indicated that Dugey (who is rated only as a 2B) had been advanced a grade…
-
@RandySteinman Yes, this is the A rated pitcher bug I outline above. Fix in about
an hourtwo hours.Thanks,
Jeremy -
2.4.6 Deployed Today
- Increased logging to address the 500 error some users are experiencing when launching a game with certain Custom Teams. Thanks to those users who continue to help diagnose this inconsistent issue.
- Pitcher Grades for Starters used in relief should properly take effect beyond the display layer. Non-pitchers entering the game as a pitcher do not correctly follow the Optional pitching rule at this time; We’ll patch this up soon.
- Pedro will make better substitutions in some, but not all cases. Work is still being done.
Enjoy your Turkey day,
Jeremy -
@APBA-GO-Jeremy - When AI Malcolm pinch hits for a pitcher, the pinch hitter gets a narration that he has advanced to " " grade. I guess it doesn’t effect anything. But odd.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy - Runners on second and third. Runner on third gets picked off. The infield status remained at “infield in” and the button to change back to “infield deep” disappeared.

Interesting. I’ll add it to the list.

2.4.7 Deployed
- Benching players and refreshing page saves status
- Position players used by MicroManagers as pitchers should receive correct starting grade (But MMs pinch hitting for pitchers still spawns an empty message in game queue).
- Attempting to save an incomplete lineup will no longer cause a fatal server error
- Boxscores will correctly display the appropriate tab when closed and reopened during games
- Increased targeted logging for custom team/500 error bug
- Duplicate entry game server bug no longer occurs during as away matches
Last Update before Monday.
Enjoy your weekend!~
