Week Six starts with a game of two relatively even team with identical 2-1-2 records. The story of the this game takes place in the first nine munutes of the match. Marko Arnautovic scored a goal at the 5’ mark. He deked the Tottenham Goalkeeper and dribbled one past a diving Tottenham Midfielder, Christian Erikson, that slowly rolled across the line for a 1-0 West Ham lead.
At 9’ Dele Alli was fouled in the Box and a Penalty Kick ensued. Alli beat Adrain and tied the game at 1-1. It was his first goal of the season.
Tottenham had a golden chance when Cheikhou Kouyate was Red Carded. Still, Tottenham could not score and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Burnely, (2-3-1) defeated Huddersfield, (1-1-4), 1-Nil, at Kirklees Stadium for their second consecutive win and their first home win of the season. Chris Wood scored a goal at the 25’ with an assist from Johann Gudmundsson.
Burnley dominated the Loose Balls. Huddersfield had a hard tie getting the ball to their “scorers” as Brunley’s defense had very few lapses in the game.
Burnley now has 9 points.

Everton, on paper, looked to be the favorite, but, as it turned out, Bournemouth played an equally competitive game. The result ended with no goals scored ofr either team. Bournemouth won more than their fair share of Loose Balls and Headers which enabled them to remain competitive. Bournemout actually had two more shots than Everton and had three SOG to Everton’s two, but, both Goalies were equal to the task.
Everton now sits at 2-2-2 while Bournemouth is 1-2-3

Manchester City played host to a wild, and rough game, against visiting Crystal Palace. When the smoke had cleared it was 2-1 Manchester City win. The hardest working people on the firld may have been the referees. 27 Fouls were committed, 13 by Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne and Fernando Fernandihno were both RED carded for Manchester. Yohan Cabaye was RED Carded for Crystal Palace while Christian Benteke received the equivilent of a RED card when he was given two YELLOW cards.
Manchester City was heavily favored but Crystal Palace gave the Mancester 11 all they could handle. Sergio Aguero scored at 15’ on a Corener Kick from De Bruyne. At 53’ Kyle Walke blasted one by Wayne Hennessey for a 2-Nil Manchester City lead.
With Red and Yellow Flags flying Crystal Palace cut the lead to 2-1 when Patrick Van Aanholt scored at the 62’ minute mark, but, they would get no closer.
Manchester City improve to 4-2-0, (14 Points), and are, for the moment, atop the Table. Crysta Palace, (0-4-2), still are win less.
Aguero and Walker each have two goals on the season while Van Aanholt also has two season goals for Crystal Palace.

Southampton started the day with 11 Points, (3-2-0). If they could get a win they would sit in a tie atop the Table with Manchester City. It seem for a good while they would, if fact, get a win. James Ward-Prowse scored his first goal of the season. It came at the 16’ with an assist by Soufaine Boufal. They kept strong pressure on Man U, who had trouble controlling the play. Man U was continually beaten on Loose Balls amd Defense by a swarming Southampton - until the 71’ mark.
At the 71 Minute mark everything changed. Alexis Sanchez was awarded a Penalty Kick, and he made good on the shot as he easily beat Fraser Forester. Manchester U had awoken from it’s lethargy and at the 75’ markChris Smalling buried a goal to make it 2-1, Manchester United. That proved to be the final score.
Manchester U started the season 0-2, but, they are now 3-1-2, good for 10 Poains and 4th place in Tables. Southampton, (3-2-1), suffers their first defeat of the season. 32,505 dejected fans left St. Mary’s Stadium, quietly.

STOKE CITY TR 2; DEF 2 vs CHELSEA (TR 4 DEF 4)
Stoke City came into this game a decided underdog and with no wins on the season, (0-3-2). Chelsea came in with a 4-0-1 record so, it was quite surprising when Stoke gave Chelsea a hard run for their money. The Chelsea outplayed and out-manned the Stoke City aquad, through the first half and most of the second half Chelsea could not score. Finally, at the 85’ mark William Willian scored a goal with an big assist from Alvaro Morata. The Brazilian’s goal just beat Jack Butland, but, it was enogh to win the game for Chelsea who now stands a 5-0-1. Chelsea’s lone loss came in Week2 against Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea now sits atop the tables with 15 Points, one point ahead of Manchester City.
Willian has appeared in five games and has scored five goals.

A minor upset as Watford defeated Swansea in enemy territory by a 1-Nil margin. The game’s only goal came early, at the 17’ mark. Daryl Janmaat found the back of net beating Swansea Goalee, Luksaz Fabianski, with an assist from Roberto Pereyra. It was Janmaat’s first goal and Pereyra’s first assist of the season.
Surprisingle, Watfor controlled the entire tempo of the game. They won the vast majority of loose balls and held Swansea to two shots, one on goal, while the visitors had eight shots, four on goal.

In what was easily the most entertaining matches of the season Liverpool edged Leicester, 2-1. The match was extremely close with Leicester playing their best game of the season. What ultimately may have been the deciding factor occurred at the 45’ mark of the when Vicente Iborra was Red Carded and sent off. At the time the match was tied at 1-1.
Shinji Okazaki scored the first goal of the match at the 18’ mark; it was unassisted and it was brilliant and it was his first goal of the season… Two minutes later Georginio Wijnaldum beat Kasper Schmeichel with an assist from Mohamed Salah. The game remained tied until the 70’ mark. Salah scored his first goal of the season on a great pass from Phillippe Coutinho.

Newcastle United came into this game as slight underdogs, even though their record coming in, (2-2-1), was better than Brighton’s record coming in, (1-3-1). Newcastle completely outplayed Brighton as Brighton looked over-matched.
AT the 28’ mark Mikel Merino buried a Corner kick for a 1-nil Newcastle lead. Then at 41’ Isaac Hayden scored with an assist fromJamaal Lascelles, (on the Special Action Chart result 42).
Brighton scraped back into the mix at 60’ when Tomer Hemed, playing in his first match of the season, scored with an assist from Davy Propper., but, Newcastle was not quite finished.
Ayoze Perez scored his 5th goal of the season, (in six matches), at the 88’ with a great assist Mohamed Diame.

TOTTENHAME WINS THRILLER, 1-0! KANE SCORED FIRST GOAL OF SEASON
Tottenham, (3-2-2) picked up three points, (giving them 11 on the season), with an exciting 1-Nil win over a stubborn Huddersfield, (1-1-5) team. Harry Kane, heretofore without a goal for the season, scored just as extra time expired n the First Half with an assist from Defenseman, Eric Dier. Dier also had the defensive play of the game. In the 86th minute Huddersfield Midfielder, Aaron Mooy, fotted a 'slow" ball to the far corner of the net. Dier, (off the Special Play Chart), being a Defenseman, made a deparate slide and cleared the ball which was headed for a sure goal. The ensuing Corner kick did not yield a score and Tottenham held on for the 1-Nil win.

CRYSTAL PALACE UPSETS HEAVILY FAVORED MAN U, 1 - NIL
This is probably the biggest upset of the season on the EPL circuit. Crystal Palace came in as significant underdogs - and winless on the season. In addition, two starters, Midfielder Yohan Cabaye and Forward Christian Bentke, both starters, were ineligible due to Red Cards in Week 6. CP did get a break. It came in the 7’ when Man U Defender, Eric Bailly, was Red Carded in the 7th minute.
It was a scoreless fisrt half, but, at the 55’ mark,Ruben Loftus-Cheek nailed a Free Kick past David de Gea for the game’s only score.
Man U’s record falls to 3-1-3 while CP improves to 1-4-2.

26,688 fans of W Bromwich at the Hawthornes were wondering how their heros would respond after their devastating 5-Nil loss to Arsenal last week. They certainly played better this week as they tied Watford, 1-1. Jose Rodon put the hometown on top, 1 - Nil, with a goal at 16’ with an assist from Chris Brunt. It was Rodon’s 3rd goal of the season. It was Brunt’s first ssist of the season.
The score remained 1-nil, W Bromwich until the 70’ mark when Abdoulaye Doucoure found the net for Watfor to tie the match at 1-1. It was his first goal of the season. He was assisted by Roberto Pereyra. He now has two assists on the season.
After West Bromwich’s bad lass to Arsenal last week Glyn Myhill got the start in goal. He turned back foru of the shots on goal directed at him.
Richarlison, Watford’s premier player, was shaken up in the 79’ and left the pitch. He is expected to be ready for Watfor’s next match.

West Ham started fast when Manuel Lanzini scored in the 22’ with a great assist from Arthur Masuaku. It was the Argentinian’s 4th goal of the season. The score remained 1-nil until the 46’ mark whenMartin Olsson fed Ki Sung-Yueng a perfect pass. Sung-Yueng then delivered his first goal of the season.
Both Goalies were magnificent. Both West Ham’s, Adrian, and Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski made TWO great save each.

Poor Leicester cannot catch a break. Today against Bournemouth, they played one of their best matches of the season, but an “Own Goal” by Riyad Mahrez at 22’ may have cost them their first win of the season. Despite the fact that Manchester City sat second in the Table with 14 points versus firstplace Chelsea’s 15 Points, Man C were the favorites, even at the enemies venue, Stamford Bridge. The odds makers were wron as Chelsea eeked out a 1-nil win to move to 18 points as their record improved to 6-0-1. Manchester C at 4-2-1 suffered their first defeat of the season.
It was a lively match with Man C slightly outplaying Chelsea everywhere but the scoreboard. Alvaro Morata scored in the 47’, his 2nd goal of the season. He was assisted by Cesar Azpilicueta, who recorded his 2nd assist of the season.
Manchester City blew a golden opportunity in the 86’ when David Silva was fouled in the crease by Chelsea Midfielder, Eden Hazard. He missed the Penalty Kick and the opportunity to at least tie the match was lost.

This should have been a fairly “easy” game for Arsenal. It turned out otherwise. Arsenal and Brighton played to a 1-1 draw. Arsenal ended up being TWO men short. Sead Kolasinac received Yellow Cards at 5’ and 32’ into the game. Danny Welbeck was Red Carded at 82’.
Glenn Murrar broke a scoreless game with a Penaly Kick at the 32’ mark for a 1-0 Brighton lead. Eight minutes later Henrikh Mkhitaryan hit the back of the net on a Corner Kick to tie the game. That capped the game’s scoring.
At the moment Arsenal sits tied 4th place with 11 points; that could change pending the outcome of both Burnley, Everton and Newcastle games later today.
