APBA Go Christmas List
-
Like @chaneyhey, I am a big fan of GO. Have played ever since it first launched (in late 2016, I believe.) Credit to Jeremy and the entire Support Team for the many improvements and tweaks over the years.
I would submit only two things for consideration for my GO Christmas wish list…
-
I would love to see a fielder’s individual defensive rating reflected in Fielding 1, 2 or 3 in appropriate results. For example, rolls of 17 or 32 when a RF is rated (3) will always defer to the Fielding One column. This was always a great advanced option in the basic board game and makes for key strategic defensive substitutions late in a game.

Like many of us, I’m a stickler for stats. I absolutely love Collections. But, occasionally, box scores still include slight errors. For instance… the 100% accuracy of Earned Runs is, understandably, always going to be tough for game engines such as these. But I would like to have the ability to personally edit any obvious mistake I find in a box score before sending it off to Collections.
Both are very minor issues, I know. But they’re the only ones I can think of.
GO is completely enjoyable and I really appreciate all the work that goes into it. -

My wish list:
1.Option for stadiums or at the very least the original APBA playing board.
2. Nicknames/ Biographical information! - APBA stated its labor intensive. Allow
the community to do the hard work! Look at BBW and how the community
helped its development!
3. Master Game option
4. Option to upload stats from offline playing.
5. Option to view several cards or complete team at one time. Easier way to view your teams.
6. As Played Lineups
7. Micromanager customization -
One item I would love to see is a “back” button for things like the mistaken intentional walk…you know the one you brush over in the bottom of the 8th with one out when you are up by one run. If both players agree and we could get a re-do, it would be a good change in the game play. The other place it would be good to have a back button would be when you are putting in a pinch-runner and end up putting him in for the batter. If we cannot get a back button, adding an “are you sure” like we get with a 2-out bunt attempt would serve much the same purpose.

@HOFfridge Love the ‘back button’ idea!
-
Also Love APBA GO since I don;t have option of a Face2Face Boards, Card and Dice league in the area. Keeps my hand in it.
Would like to see as OPTIONAL:
- Use of actual individual fielding
- Use of an Error Randomizer
- No automatic Steals/Out Stealing…go back to runners Speed Rating, Catcher’s TH arm and Pitchers Move to First MF.

Another loop-hole that needs closing! With the recent change to the relievers rule that improves the letter grade when they enter mid-inning vs a “same-side” hitter there is an exploitable flaw. If you PH for the batter and switch sides of the plate, the reliever drops in grade (and he should lose that advantage). It is happening in league play that, after the PH switches the reliever back to his carded grade, managers are putting in ANOTHER reliever, if available, to regain the advantage. One league even had the managers exhaust bench and bullpen trying to get the edge. MLB rules say the reliever has to pitch to at least one batter (pre-2022 rule change, anyway) when summoned. GO doesn’t force that issue at present. Can we put that on the future change list to close that loop-hole?

It’s a bit past Christmas, so not holding my breathe, but stuff I’d love that realistically could happen:
-indivual fielding for the correct PRNs, could even be an option if some people don’t like them.
-Divisions in the standings page of ‘Collections’
-Fielding stats by position
-The ability to select your Collection before the game so in-‘season’ stats can be shown instead of the actual ones.

This, this, this!
