    Something I have wondered recently…
    Do the Defensive Infield ratings (always seen on the main scoreboard) factor into the game results yet?
    What about the individual ratings? (ie. if a RF is rated ‘3’, are Fielding One results used for results 17 & 32?)
    If this was an upgrade in the game engine in recent years, I don’t recall seeing it.

    @RandySteinman Hi Randy,

    As far as I know, those defensive ratings are used to determine Fielding 1/2/3 status.

    I do not believe individual fielding ratings are taken into account, but I’ll have to double check.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

    In the basic game rules that I have (and perhaps there are different versions over time)… for some rolls the fielding column is determined by the overall infield rating (the 2nd number) some are by the overall team rating (the 1st number) and some by the indivual fielder. I assume that’s what GO does, but I guess I can’t say for sure.

    @wildfire2099 Yes, those are great optional rules in the basic board game. That’s why I was questioning whether they’ve been incorporated into the GO game engine. I have never thought so. But always seeing the defensive infield rating listed on the main scoreboard makes me wonder.

    @RandySteinman Thanks for bringing this up. The optional individual ratings for the basic game are high on my APBA GO wish list. Makes late-inning defensive replacements a much bigger deal.
