    In it’s inaugural season of 1992, fourteen teams draft 30 players and signed them all to contacts. The first round was

    7 Rickey Henderson OF
    8 Orel Hershiser P

    12 Mark McGwire 1B
    13 David Cone P
    14 Dave Winfield OF

    In the Blomberg Division(AL) Greg Maddux lead the Louisville Hurons to the top spot with a 46-38 record. Canton Comets and Bristol Tigers both finished 45-39 and faced off in the Blomberg divisional round with Canton winning the series 3-2. Canton went on to upset Louisville in a classic 7 game series.

    Over in the Tiant Division Appalachian dominated all season going 58-26. Hoboken went 51-33 to host Sandy Lake in the divisional round which saw Hoboken winning in 5. The Tiant divison championship seen underdog Hoboken take down Appalachian in 5.

    The World Series featured the Hoboken Zephyrs and the Canton Comets and after 6 games the Zephyrs raised the trophey celebrating the first DABB championship.

    DABB 1991
    As we finish our 2nd season The Bristol Tigers lead the Blomberg division and the league with a 53-31 Record. Robin Ventura, Dwight Evans, Kirk Gibson, Wally Joyner and Alan Trammell were the top 5 picks of the draft.

    BLOMBERG
    The Homer Hounds 49-35 faced off with the Louisville Hurons 48-36. Homer won the series in 5 games and then went to play the Bristol Tigers going 7 games before the Hounds prevailed and head to the World Series.

    TIANT
    Hoboken 50-34 lead the division edging out Antelope River Cats 49-35. Sandy Lake 43-41 defeated Antelope in 4 games before taking down Hoboken in 5 games to advance.

    WORLD SERIES
    Sandy Lake and Homer faced off but it was all Sandy Lake winning the 1991 title in 4 games.
