    Hi Everyone!

    From the Alpharetta team:

    APBA BASEBALL 2022 SEASON

For the 2022 baseball season, APBA is experimenting with a 2022 projection set.

    APBA GO

The initial APBA GO file has (hopefully) every player on the opening day rosters EXCEPT for players making their MLB debut in the 2022 season. (For example, Bobby Witt Jr. These players will be added to the file when they have played enough games to make sure that APBA’s projections are accurate).

The APBA GO file includes all players, even if the player is currently on the DL. Once a player is included in the file, they will not be removed even if released.

If a player changes teams, that change will be made every Thursday. (For example, Newcombe is now on the Cubs to reflect the recent trade).

As the season progress, we will constantly review a player’s 2022 protections and adjusts his APBA ratings and APBA card if necessaries. We do not plan to adjust any of the initial file’s ratings and projections until Memorial Day at the earliest. That will give us significant data points.

At this point, a free agent team CANNOT play another free agent team (unless they are custom teams).
You will own the final 2022 season file, if you purchase the 2022 projection season file.

The initial price is $55 until June 1st. The price will drop $5 on the first day of each month. For example, if you purchase in the month of June, the price will be $50.

THIS IS AN EXPERIMENT THERE WILL BE ISSUES.

    THE PLAN WILL UNDOUBTLY CHANGE.

    A few points from me:

    • Subscribers already have access
    • No team sales will be available until the final version of the file is available post-season
    • Obviously, no free WS teams until the final version of the file is available post-season
    • Games can be played using the Free Agent team except where the Free Agent team plays against itself. The Free Agent team is meant to be used as a source for players using Custom Teams
    • Please post any comments pertaining to the 2022 season data in this thread

    Enjoy,
    Jeremy

@APBA-GO-Jeremy Fabulous! I’m excited to try this out. I do notice that SF22 only has Casali as a catcher, however - are you planning on including their Starting C, Joey Bart?

And as luck would have it, Rodon is throwing a no-hitter against the lowly Reds after six innings…with Casali calling the game behind the dish!

    I hope you enjoy it!

My team doesn’t work with the data at all. That’s all done in Alpharetta by the team there. I have passed on your comment.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

@APBA-GO-Jeremy Thanks Jeremy, I’ll await updates in the system. Amazing to have dynamic cards in APBA - wow.

Rodon lost the no-hitter and eventually the shutout when Tyler Stephenson hit a 2-run pinch-hit bomb, but Rogers and McGee finished up for a 5-2 win. Gs had 4 doubles overall and Belt had one, as well as an HR. Rodon struck out 11 with only 1 walk and the 2 earned runs; his line would fit in almost seamlessly with his actual 2022 line so far!
