The 2K Yankees silenced the '32 Yankee bats in Game One as Andy Pettite pitched a four hit shutout in a 3-0 lead. The '32 Yankees won the next three games; they scored a total of 32 runs in those games. In Game Three they trailed 4-1 through six innings and 6-3 after eight innings. They rallied to score five runs off closer Mariano Rivera in the 9th, all of them with TWO OUTS! It started with an Earle Combs double, followed by a Tony Lazzeri triple, a Babe Ruth walk, a Lou Gehrig three-run homerun, and finally another homerun by Ben Chapman. They held on to win 8-7. In Game Four, the 2K Yankees jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st., but the '32 Yankees responded with 13 unanswered run on their way to a 13-4 win. Gehrig went 3-5 with a pair of homeruns and five RBI. After losing Game Five 7-6, the '32 Yankees clinched the series with a 5-1 win. Combs drove in four of the runs, three on a homerun that opened up a slim 2-1 lead.

Bernie Williams’ average dipped to .262 with 29 homeruns, 83 RBI, and 85 runs scored. Derek Jeter has 107 runs scored to go with a .257 average and 15 homeruns. Jorge Posada hit his 25th homerun in this series. Roger Clemens finally picked up a win to improve to 13-8 while his ERA jumped up to 4.12. Rivera’s disastrous outing jacked his ERA up nearly an entire run up to 2.43, but he did pick up his 34th save. The 2K Yankees will take on the 17-7 1953 Yankees in the next series.

The lone 2K Yankees win in Game One had some late fireworks; Mickey Mantle tied the game 3-3 with a two-run triple in the top of the 8th, but Jorge Posada answered with a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning for a 5-3 win. Mantle led the '53 Yankees to a 7-6 win in Game Two despite two homeruns by Tino Martinez; Mantle went 3-5 with another triple and four RBI. Jim McDonald pitched a 3-hit shutout in Game 5 for a 6-0 win. All of the runs were scored on homeruns by Joe Collins and Gil McDougald in the 1st. and Yogi Berra in the 8th. Berra homered early in Game Six and finished the game with a walk-off single for a 4-3 win.
Gene Woodling leads the '53 Yankees in hitting at .339 with a .969 OPS. Hank Bauer is hitting .321 with a .978 OPS. Mantle is hitting .308 with 33 RBI, 27 runs scored, and a .976 OPS. McDonald, Johnny Sain, and Ed Lopat have not lost in any of their 14 combined starts; they are collectively 11-0. Allie Reynolds has pitched 10 1/3 scoreless innings in his 11 appearances for one win and nine saves.

The '28 Yankees won Game Four with a comeback of their own. The 2K Yankees jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning on the strength of a David Justice three-run homerun. The '28 Yankees chipped away and tied the game 5-5 in the 7th on a Tony Lazzeri two-run homerun. Cedric Durst, playing for an injured Ruth, hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the 8th for a 6-5 win. The teams traded wins in the last two games. The '28 Yankees earned the series split in the last game 5-4. George Pipgras got the win on the mound and drove in two runs with a double at the plate.

The 2K Yankees went back out in front 6-5 in the 8th on a two-out single by Scott Brosius. The '27 Yankees countered in the bottom of the inning with another Weaver homerun, this one by Lazzeri for a 8-6 win to tie the series. The 2K Yankees won Game Five 4-1, but the '27 Yankees earned the split by winning a 12-7 slugfest; Gehrig hit two more homeruns and drove in three RBI, and Earle Combs went 4-5 with a triple, three RBI, and three runs scored.
