MYT started in 1930 as a 12 team 2 division leagues. The Empire City Superheros defeated the Baltimore Black Socks (josephas2) in 5 games. Congrat s to both teams along with the other playoff teams Akron, Pioneer Valley, Texas, and Hoboken.

1932 is in the books. We saw Little Pink Machine beat the Texas Boxcars in 4 games in the Anson divisional playoff. As a rewards the Machine went to play the Baltimore Black Sox (46-26). Baltimore handle the Machine in 5 games to advance to the World Series.
Over in the Ewing Division Empire City Superheros faced off against rival Pioneer Valley Giants. No love last here after last season 7 games battle that saw Empire City win but this year the Giants showed up big finishing the Superheros in 4. Pioneer ran into the Ewing division juggernaut Red Bear (52-20). Pioneer pushed it 6 games but was just out muscled by Red Bear.
In a clash of the titans World Series The Baltimore Black Sox were able to hold down Red Bear and win the series in 6 games to become the 3rd World Champ in 3 seasons.
Congratulations to Joe S and the Baltimore Black Sox.
WS MVP Tom Zachary 2-0, 18 innings, 2 ER a 1.00 ERA and a 1.06 Whip.
Bill Cissell and Charlie Grimm each had 9 hits for the Black Sox.

1933 ended with the Baltimore Black Sox winning their second straight championship ending Pioneer Valley Giants magical run in 6 games. Pioneer Valley swept Louisville Huron in 3 games then swept Buck Ewing division leader Philadelphia Freedom in 4 games. Little Pink Machine took Chattanooga Cherokee to 5 games before Chattanooga advance to face Baltimore and pushed the Black Sox to 6 games.
Baltimore’s Chuck Klein lead the league in hits and average batting .392. Jimmie Foxx lead the league in homeruns and Rbi’s for Pioneer Valley. Little Pink had a dominate pitching staff lead by Lon Warneke and his 13 wins, Dizzy Dean struck out 103. Ray Benge threw the only no hitter of 1933 for Empire City
Philadelphia’s Gee Walker tied the single season stolen base record(24). Dizzy Dean is the first to strike out triple digit batters(103). Joe Heving (Akron Zip) and Bob Smith (K’ville Blaze) both saved 12 games to top the single season record and Hal Schumacher (Chattanooga) posted a 1.73 era best in the leagues 4 year history.

After a heated free agency period That saw Philadelphia and Louisville both were big time players in free agency looking to make a run in 1934. Red Lucas and Charlie Root were both signed to 5 year deals with Philadelphia while Louisville signed Bill Hallahan(3) and Ray Benge(2).
Hoboken opened the 1934 draft by selecting 3rd baseman Clift Harlond, Bill Lee joined Hershey as the #2 pick and Curt Davis was 3rd to K’villie.

The Little Pink Machine lead the league with a 52-20 record and got the top spot in the Cap Anson Division. The winner of the last 2 championships the Baltimore Black Sox made their 4th consecutive playoff appearance and faced off the Texas Boxcars who are back in the playoffs after missing the post season in 1933. Baltimore ousted Texas in 5 games. Turning to face Little Pink in the Anson finals, The Machines bounced Baltimore in 6 games to put an end to their hopes of a three-peat. Over in the Buck Ewing division the Kville Blaze lead the division by 5 games over the Pioneer Valley Giants and the Philadelphia Freedom. Pioneer and Philly battled but Pioneer was victorious in 4 games but The Blaze burned through the Valley in 5 games to reach the championship. The Machine was rolling along before the Blaze caught fire and clinched the world series in 6 games.
