Pedro keeps using Mathis as a pinch hitter for Atlanta 2021 even though he has no batting average. This may be a glitch. In any event, what batting average do you assign hitters who are not pitchers and who have no plate appearances and no batting average.

@Morrisp Mathis’ card should hit around .130 if he had enough at bats and could even crack a HR with a 66 and a runner on third. APBA sometimes/often? gives low-PA hitters the benefit of the doubt based on past performance.

I don’t understand this. I am playing against the AI manager. He will even put in a low hitting pinch hitter (even one with 43 at bats and a .213 average) when he has a .300 hitter sitting on the bench?

@ncord. My advice— DO NOT USE PEDRO! He consistently leaves the (non pitching) pinch hitter in to pitch, when there are actual pitchers available.

My mistake. It is Malcolm who keeps putting in a weak pinch hitter rather than a strong one.
