What Determines Errors?

A friend and I have created custom teams that are closely matched in terms of hitting and pitching and the total defence of the starting teams. The results of our head-to-head play are rather close but one team consistently makes more than twice as many errors as the other.

What could we look for in comparing our teams’ individual player cards to account for the difference?

18’s and 20’s at the #53 on card
those two numbers create errors at the ss and 2b positions in most situations
