Release 2.4.0
-
@demello23-0 Yes, we are aware. We still have not discovered the root cause of the 500 error that affects only certain teams/users but we’ve eliminated a few possibilities. We hope to do a release late Monday or Tuesday morning that will fix some or all of the known issues.

I have a pinch-hitter getting the pitching decision again. In this case a PH from the 4th inning was awarded the victory. Jerry Lynch of Custom SAC pinch-hit in the bottom of the 4th. Jim Brewer came in to pitch in the Top of the 5th. Lynch was out of the game and his team still trailed. In the bottom of the 8th, Lee Maye pinch-hit for Brewer, then SAC took their first lead, making Brewer the pitcher of record. But the Box Score showed Jerry Lynch as the winning pitcher.

Another issue I just had in a manual game. The game did not end after the home team scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. It kept going until the home team had three outs.
Sorry for the weird screenshot, I had to move things around to get it small enough to upload.

I, also, have the problem with pitcher advancement grades.
Also, Pedro the AI left a pinch hitter in to pitch when there were relief pitchers available.
-
@HOFfridge The changes not being displayed on the field issue is in for testing and will be deployed in Monday/Tuesday’s release.
We tested the heck out of the optional pitching rule, but I supposed we might have messed something up with the fixes.
To verify, what part of the optional pitching rule is not being followed:
-
@striker2550 What problems specifically are you experiencing with the optional pitching rule?
I expect Pedro will need some tweaking, so thanks for letting us know about the pinch hitter staying in to pitch when relievers are available issue.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy Jeremy just an FYI. I was getting the error message (game won’t start) for two of my custom teams. So I created new custom teams (using the former teams as the basis per the new feature), chose new names, and now I am able to play with those teams.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy The first problem I encountered was the text said, correctly, that a new pitcher received the grade advancement. But the on field icon still showed the original lower grade.
Second, a pitcher that should have received advancement did not.
Ooooohhhhh… might be a miscommunication on my part. I’m speaking of relief pitcher grade upgrade when they are subbed in. Not the “advancement” after innings pitched. Sorry for any confusion.
-
@demello23-0 Very helpful. Thank you.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy here is a screenshot of the pitcher icon not matching the text saying he advanced a grade.
-
@APBA-GO-Jeremy Just rolled a 55 which was an 8 against a B pitcher with no one on. Play result was a single. Sorry should’ve taken screen shot.

@bstark said in Release 2.4.0:
One more thing, if you save a lineup over an existing lineup, instead of saving over it, you get two lineups with the same name:
What game mode is this? What steps would we take to reproduce this? (I can’t reproduce it when I tried for MM or Solitaire games… I need to understand what was happening to trigger it).
-
@bstark said in Release 2.4.0:
Home/Road teams appear under wrong tab in boxscores:
EDIT: Identified as Solitaire Game mode, end of game boxscore (in-game box score is correct).
Thanks,
Jeremy -
Play vs. AI
My last 3 games saw totals of 56 runs scored on 75 hits. Yes, that’s just 3 games.
Should I accept this as normal variance, or is something out of whack?
-
2.4.4 deployed
- walk off wins should behave as expected
- correct fielding breakpoints should be observed
- optional pitching rule grade changes should reflect on the playing field
- baseball tab should point to the main page
- bunting with injuries disabled should behave better
Let us know how things are.
Routing issues, 500 error, pinch hitting, flipped home/away boxscore tabs, etc. still in progress, hopefully for tomorrow.
