I understand that an A pitcher is better than a B pitcher. But what does A&B or A&C mean?

@Morrisp You resolve the play by checking board results for “A” grade pitcher. If the result is a hit, you then check the “B” or “C” column for final play result.

I know that in the Master Game, an A&C pitcher had a grade of either 24 or 27 (18 for A, 6 to 9 for C I think). I think an A&B is the equivalent of a 28-30 grade. I’m not sure how much better an A&C or A&B pitcher is on GO compared to an A pitcher.
