Introducing Shared Collections
Shared Collections allow managers to make multiple managers members of a Collection.
The goal is to provide a flexible method of sharing statistics for tournaments or leagues involving multiple managers.
Getting Shared Collections:
- Subscribers have instant access to Shared Collections.
- Anyone who purchased the Custom Teams Unlock will be grandfathered into the League Tools Unlock, of which Shared Collections is now a part.
- Those who are not subscribers or did not purchase the Custom Teams unlock in the past will be able to purchase the League Tools Unlock in the Store. The League Tools Unlock grants access to Custom Teams and Shared Collections.
Using Shared Collections:
- A manager with access to Shared Collections clicks on the left side menu option for Collections.
- There is a new tab on the Collections page called ‘Shared Collections’
- Clicking on the tab reveals a green ‘Add Shared Collection’ button.
- A Shared Collection requires a name, and a description, where additional information about the Collection can be displayed.
- Once created, the Shared Collection will be listed on the Shared Collection Tab.
- Each Shared Collection will have these options: edit, members, and delete.
- Editing and deleting a Shared Collection operate similarly to a regular Collection.
- Clicking Members presents a screen where the manager who created the Shared Collection (now the administrator of the Shared Collection), can view a list of other managers who have access to the Shared Collections feature. These managers can then be added as participants in the freshly created Shared Collection.
- Members of a Shared Collection can optionally be made administrators (admins can remove users from a Shared Collection) to help with long-term organization of a Shared Collection.
- Once a Shared Collection is created, any member can add/remove games through the Game History Collections button, or at the end of a game using the Collections button, just like a regular Collection. A game can be added to a Shared Collection only once, so you don’t have to worry about doubling up on stats.
- The Collection management pop-up window used to add games to a Collection now has tabs separating private and Shared Collections.
- Viewing stats of a Shared Collection is as simple as clicking the name of the Shared Collection on the Shared Collection tab. All members of a Shared Collection see the same stats.
Note: There are some front-end changes that will require a hard refresh of the page to correct - ctrl-click refresh for PC, command-click refresh for Mac. Clearing cache will also work, but this is easier and less intrusive.
As always, I welcome your feedback on Shared Collections.
Thanks,
Jeremy -
@apba-go-jeremy I don’t seem to have the ability to add games to collections after the patch. None of my previous collections show up after clicking the collections button. I tried to make a new collection, but that was unsuccessful. I am a subscriber. please advise. I refreshed the page and rebooted without success.
thanks
Robert

@robertaxel6 Hi!
Can you please submit a support ticket so the team can help you?
At this time, we cannot replicate the problem.
Thanks,
JeremyEDIT: This problem was fixed by doing a hard-refresh of the site, forcing the download of the latest javascript and css files to the client computer’s browser. On a PC, hold the CTRL button and click the browser refresh button. On a Mac, hold the Command button and do the same.

@darnamell Hi! We’ll try to reproduce this issue. Thanks for letting us know!
-
Where did my private collections go? Using am iPAD pro. Worked great for 2 years. Today…you guys add a shared thing…all private collections vanished.
-
Re-stating my issue:
My private collections still exist under the Collections tab and are current through 8-23.
As of 8-24…I cannot add data to private collections. Post game, when ai hit the collections option, I get a new segmented screen that says Private collections on the left…Shared collection on right side.
But…there is nothing there.Nor can I go to game history and add to collections. Same issue: game history is there…but no private collection shows up to “add to”.
What have you guys done now?
Kinda’ like the new player info for the BATS3 that doesn’t work w GO…never did, still doesn’t.

Ok. What happened to ability to assign a game to my Collections on my ipad pro?
As of 8-25…the Collection and new Shared Collection boxes are empty. My established Collections disappeared. What is up?
-
Thanks Jeremy.
I first reported that the expansion pack wasn’t working for ipads in May 2019…I have 25 e mails from apba customer support (John?) that yes, I’m right…nobody knows why…and top experts are working on it. Then, the experts got pulled off to other projects. I gave up asking.
So…somewhere…there is a file or claim or ticket open dating to May 2019.
