substitution of pinch hitter/runner: You cannot do it.

@barkley12 Thanks for letting us know. I have moved this topic to comments & feedback. If you haven’t, please submit a support ticket here and be sure to list game type and teams in play, OS (windows 10, etc.) and browser (safari, etc.).
This will allow the team to start working on replicating the problem first thing Monday, so we can get a fix in ASAP. Thank you.

Yes, same problem here. I just played the '12 Giants at the ‘02 Pirates. Tried to pinch-hit Hopkins for Pirates’ starter Phillippe in the bottom of the ninth. Instead, Hopkins replaced Mathewson on the mound for the Giants (opposing pitcher). Very frustrating.
Our OS is macOS Sierra, version 10.12.4
The browser I was using is Safari. -
And, by the way, it was a solitaire game.
-
And just tried switching browser to Google Chrome to see if I could continue the game as best I could.
Tried to pinch-hit Merritt for Phillippe. But Merritt replaces Hopkins on the mound for the Giants, while Phillippe remains the Pirates’ hitter.
Giving up for now. -
Hi. I have the same issue - especially with NL teams. Playing LA v.StL, the pinch-hit, and the PH became the pitcher. Any reason for this bug?

@apba-go-jeremy Hi, how do you submit a support ticket? Thanks.

@isotopecrunch Hi! Please visit this link.

Thanks to (all of) your amazing feedback and timely information, we have isolated the bug and implemented a fix. We are waiting on one other issue before we deploy. Should be live in the next 24h. Again, thank you.

@apba-go-jeremy Thanks.

Jeremy,
Just a heads-up to your tchnical support team…
I still have my GTOP solitaire game up between the '02 Pirates and '12 Giants. I am purposely entering dice rolls which will keep the tied game from ending. I am trying different scenarios to see what happens.
The issue does not only seem to be with pinch-hitters becoming the opposing pitcher. I just tried pinch-hitting the Pirates’ Sebring for his teammate Beaumont (the Pittsburgh CF). But instead of replacing Beaumont at bat, Sebring instantly became the new CF out in the field for the Giants (replacing Becker).
So it seems that these strange switches are based as much on positions as any other factor. If that helps you at all.
Love the game.

@randysteinman Thanks for the extra effort! The error actually lies in a change we made to the back end - we switched from one technology to do a task to another technology - and in the process messed up substitutions.

No worries, Jeremy. Really appreciate the fact that you guys are committed to being on top of these glitches.
