Things that don't happen often...to me anyways...while playing APBA

So I joined APBA Go about the time this quarantine hit; joined it simply because I loved APBA and I had no clue this existed until a random Google search one day…$20 a month for access to any player in the history of the game seems like a great deal to me :-). I had not played in 20 years I am sure, but always thought of getting back into my card game. Anyways, something I always wanted to do was put together a Reds team with players who played since my first set of cards…1980 season. So I spent some time learning about Collections and couple hours later after many decisions, I had my team. Not the greatest Reds team I am sure, but pretty stacked. The season started (playing the Reds 2019 schedule) with really bad pitching and it drove me nuts - my rotation of Seaver ('81), Browning ('88), Cueto ('14) and Jackson ('88) with Rijo ('88) as my 5th starter, really sucked for awhile. But last night, Seaver, in game 50 of the season took an absolute perfect game into the 9th only to walk two and then giving up a triple for a one hitter. I had never had one get that close. Three games later, Johnny Cueto throws a No-hitter…only the second in all my APBA games. Fun night.

I have one No Hitter Daniel Mentgen for the 2018 Oakland A/s i think it was. My favorite memory though. Is I thought i would play the 2018 Orioles the worst team that year with the 27 Yankees. IN the bottom of the 9th. Trey Mancini hit a 2 run Homer to give the O’s a 6 to 5 Victory. So in my mind I figured The Babe would be upset , so a few weeks later the Yanks got a rematch. It was a massacre. they beat the O’s 22 to 0 lol.

@dirtyref The very next game, '14 Cueto took a no-hitter into the 8th before giving up the only hit of the night…love the great pitching. Through 116 games in the season, Cueto has had a no-hitter, a 1 hitter and a 2 hitter…he has started 26 games and has a 2.67 ERA.
