Grade reduction and grade advancement
-
I have noticed that if a pitcher allows 5 earned runs in three innings his grade is reduced in APBAGO, just as in the board game. But in the board game, if a D pitcher throws 5 consecutive shutout innings, his grade advances to a C. There doesn’t seem to be any grade advancement in APBAGO yet. Is that something that is still in the works? Also, when a reliever comes in the game in the middle of an inning, his grade should be advanced for the first batter he faces (as in the board game).

There is grade advancement in APGA GO, for pitchers throwing consecutive shutout (or unearned runs) innings. You just have to make sure that, when you set up each game, you click the ‘Optional Pitching Rule’ to ON position.
You’re correct about the no first-batter grade advancement for mid-inning relievers. That’s always been a frustration for me, too.
