Wrong pitcher gets the L
-
Jim Kaat is charged with the loss, even though the box score correctly shows the winning run charged to Clay Carroll and no runs given up by Kaat. Would code be that hard to put in that would check to see if a pitcher gave up a run before charging him with a loss? Not a huge deal, but it does screw up the stats in the collections, just like the pinch-hitters being credited with wins.

Just had the same thing happen when Brasier get credited with the L in relief of starter Rodriguez. Came in after a leadoff double and gave up the inherited runner for Clevelands 2nd run in a game they win 2-1. And then when checking out “collections” (where I first noticed the error), I discover that Sale also was given an L in a game he won, 5-1. Collections needs some work. And this is a problem that has been known for as long as collections have been offered as a product. Seems that APBAGO improvement/development is at a standstill.
