APBA Go Wish List
-
Here are a couple of items I would like to see to an already great product:
- The ability to challenge as home or visitor.
- The ability to conduct single team replays with the AI (micro manager) realistically distributing his pitching starts/relievers & rotations, etc
- The ability to “block” any starters from relieving unless set up for that with “league rules”, etc. Example: For a challenge game, only the initial starter can pitch unless a pitcher has the ratings to start and relieve. Or, am I missing something here? Couldn’t one just pitch his 3 best starters in a challenge game if he wanted to?
-
Also…would love to be able to view the player card image (just for the seasons/teams that I own) when looking at the “additional information” tabs.
-
***How easy would it be to add a simple line score with runs by inning plus runs, hits, and errors?
-
I don’t know if I am the only one that experiences this, but is there a way to speed up a pinch hitter for the AI manager? When a pitcher gets pulled for a pinch hitter, it takes around 2-3 minutes of waiting for the change.
-
You are not the only one who has to wait a verrrrry long time for the AI to select a pinch hitter. Sometimes 5-6 minutes. It’s frustrating.

Adding my request (already posted elsewhere) for an undo button. A silly mistake (clicking accidentally on something) ought not to be etched in stone.
Another request: let those of us who play with manual dice roll a second time for the double column batters. There’s no reason that the computer has to roll the second time.
-
@apba-go-jeremy Thanks, Jeremy. That’s great to hear. I appreciate the help.
Any chance we can get an undo button when a mistake is clicked or entered?

@randcoop Consider it on the list!
As it is functionality that would not be welcome in a multiplayer game or tournament/league it is not very high on the priority list.
It does have relevance for those playing by themselves, so as an idea it is not totally without merit.
Thanks,
Jeremy -
@apba-go-jeremy I’d argue that it would be welcomed by people playing one-against-one challenges as well. I say that having discussed it with at least a couple of others. I’m not sure why you’re certain that it wouldn’t be welcome in a multiplayer game or tournament, but I assume you have good reason.
Anyhow, thanks for agreeing that it’s not ‘totally without merit’ (not exactly a high bar, but I’ll take it). I’ll see if I can drum up more support so that it can be raised higher on the priority list. On another section of the forum, I did get one response of support for the idea.
Thanks again.

@randcoop The point I was trying to make is that people in a competitive environment could abuse it to re-roll results until it gave them an advantage.
You and I might not do it, but I can’t build a competitive system that is wide open to abuse.
Thanks,
Jeremy -
@apba-go-jeremy I understand the concern. How about having it for manual dice games only? Manual dice games are, almost by definition, dependent on the integrity of the player (I can make up any dice roll if I want to cheat). The undo button in such circumstances wouldn’t be any more subject to abuse than manual dice deceptions.

To the wish list I would add Negro Leagues teams. I know of course there is the issue of the great variance in statistics for these teams, but APBA put out Negro League cards decades ago. Why aren’t these teams in APBA GO?
