Playing seasons,,,,,

Is there a way to play actual complete seasons, of a team, once you buy the said season? And can you play the actual home and away games of a season against a micro -manager?

Sure, you can do that. I would just play both teams instead of relying on the micro-manager, because the current one players every game like game 7 of the world series… it has no concept of fatigue etc…
I have replayed the three 2017 teams through full seasons. I use actual lineups from Retrosheet.ORG and just manage both teams… even though I am more focused on the one team that I am replaying. I like replaying that way.

Ok thanks, thats what I;m doing with the 75 Dodgers, playing their season home and away as it happened, but found I can only do it in solitaire in order to get the correct teams home and away. I was thinking of going against a mm for the home games just to sshake things up. as of the first five games, unfort, they are perfect to the Dodgers 1975 start…1-4. lol

@krytpnslim I was thinking about replaying a team’s season using solitaire mode. Currently I am doing a single-elimination tournament using the 1978 season.

I find APBA GO to be a great way to replay seasons. Yes, you have to coach both teams… but most of us are used to that. I find I can play games in 10 minutes or less sometimes… and with collections… there is no stat compilation. Replays I never thought possible with my time commitments (or lifespan lol) might be possible now.

@kapperino Not at this time, no. It is on the to do list.

@apba-go-jeremy Ok, thanks

What I do is copy the team’s schedule that I am replaying from retrosheet.org, i.e. https://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/2017/VLAN02017.htm. Then I past it into a spreadsheet that where I enter the results, i.e. https://1drv.ms/x/s!Agfz6ZuWV1jKjYkZH4EuKUZpfNOHfQ?e=n3y6BP
So I am just using the spreadsheet to keep track of the scores etc… Seems to work pretty good. I use the actually lineups for retrosheet also.

@falcon4fever Sorry it took me so long to respond. Yes, collections keeps track of the stats… I use the spreadsheet to keep track of the schedule mainly. If I am working on a replay of the whole league… I prefer to play one team to the end, and I will have a spreadsheet with each teams schedules that I keep track of the games played and scores etc… There are certain things I don’t think APBA Go shows yet… let W/L streaks, home/road records… one run game records and stuff like that.

Getting schedules and lineups for each team in order to replay seasons is something I’m looking forward to as well. I use BBW to replay full seasons for now (currently replaying the 1976 season to try and get the A’s into the postseason). APBA GO is perfect for drafting teams and playing out a season amongst friends while collections saves the stats.
