My 1939 AL Replay
-
Is there a way for me to put brackets around this when I post so that it lines up properly? As in, keep the original spacing and formatting?

This is excellent. I will be posting results, stats, etc.
above are the current standings. I have decided on this “format” for the replay so I do not need a formal “schedule”.
The replay is played that I play each of the team’s “home games” in solitaire mode. The away games are filled in by default. Each team plays every other team in a 3 game series at home, then two 4 game series at home. At the end, all 154 games for each team will have been played. Provided my math is correct.
Games are played:
-solitaire style (originally done with the micro manager)
-The series starts with the starter with the most innings or games started (at my discretion). 2 (or 3 other starters for 4 game series) are picked to pitch the rest of the series. Relievers at my discretion.
-I am using APBA injuries (I keep them separately on a sheet and then just remove that player from the line-up).
-Pinch hitters, etc. at my discretion
-I am not trying for a strict or as-played replay. Just a fun type season replay as I may have done as a kid. If the pitchers pitch more, so be it. -
BRONX BOMBERS BLOW UP FELLER
Game 1 of a 3 Game SeriesBob Feller stayed on the mound almost until the bitter end just barely staving off grade reduction as the Yankees launched homerun after homerun. It was another tough loss for the Tribe who are off to a slow start.
-
ROLFE LEAVES TRIBE SEEING RED
Game 2 of a 3 game seriesRed Rolfe lead off the game with a homerun and gave the Yankees the lead in the 13th as the Indians early season woes continued.
-
INDIANS FIND JOE D.
Game 3 of 3Joe DiMaggio had a pair of dingers to finish the sweep of the struggling Tribe. Teammate Gordon also added a pair of dingers.
-
CHICAGO FALLS TO FELLER
Game 1 of 3Bob Feller weaved in and out of trouble and just before running out of gas completed what he started. He had plenty of support. Trosky and Keltner both hit homeruns and the Indians offense quickly ran the White Sox off the reservation.
-
WHITE SOX BEST CLEVELAND IN EXTRAS
Game 2 of a 3 game seriesThe Indians had enough to force extras but when Keltner came to the plate with two outs he could not deliver and the Indians woes continued. Despite relatively strong pitching this team’s bats stay as silent as the fans they leave with little to cheer for.
-
CLEVELAND BATS COME ALIVE
Game 3 of a 3 game seriesTrosky went 2-4 with a dinger and Keltner joined him in with another homerun in what the Tribe hope is the spark tha lights their season on fire.
-
GROVE OUTDUELS FELLER
Game 1 of a 4 game seriesCleveland scored first but Feller couldn’t keep the bats of Foxx and Williams silent enough to procure a much needed victory. Panic sets in in Cleveland.
-
TRIBE TURNS TRIPLE PLAY
game 2 of a 4 game seriesThe first two Red Sox batters of the game reached base only for Foxx to line into a triple play! After that Al Milinar threw a gem that delivered a shut out. Hal Trosky homered for the Indians.
-
@dbacknate Thank you. Hope you enjoy!
-
TRIBE MAKES THINGS HARDER ON SOX
Game 3 of a 4 game seriesMel Harder kept the Boston hardwood from cracking in runs and the Indians responded with a few hits of their own. Much needed win for Cleveland.

LEONARD OUTDUELS FELLER
Game 1 of a 4 Game Series
Dutch Leonard outdueled hard luck loser Feller as the Indians continued to struggle. The game swayed back and forth but ultimately went the way of the Senators. The Senators are singling teams to death!
