Draft ability for APBA GO
-
What about APBA GO developing software that would allow users to draft teams from their purchased teams? For instance, if you purchased the 1973 season, you could then draft new teams from that player pool. We did this with the regular cards and it was a popular way to play. Is it feasible? Would you use the feature? Are you willing to buy “drafting software” if need be? Thanks for your opinions.

@dconway Hi and thanks for the idea! This is one of those rare times that I get to say ‘we’re working on it’. Our Custom Teams functionality is targeted to go live in November. It is not a traditional draft (that is also on the to do list), but will allow users to create a new team and draw from the player pool they have access to. Thanks and keep the ideas coming!

we have a group of four managers that just had a draft and are in midst of league play
would you be interested in participating in our next league if we expand?background: we used to play 40+ years ago and decided to do this because of pandemic
we agreed of 4 teams, then scouted the players and held a video draft via zoom
draft was done using snake rotation (1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1 etc.)
(I assume you are aware of Custom Unlock feature correct?)- teams consist of 25 man rosters and you must use a 4 or 5 man starting rotation
- relief pitchers are used on a “practicality” basis (an A reliever cannot pitch in every game)
- pitchers with starter and reliever ratings must wait 2 games before being used as the other function
- any position player can be used as a regular starter (i.e. if a guy played 35 games but had a great card, he can play any of his assigned positions)
as defacto commissioner, I update league standings and league leader stats after each series
not sure if you have used the Collections feature but it is great for generating stats (takes <10 minutes) -
@bogotabrave I am interested
