Mixing BATS2 and BATS3 teams

I am playing a season schedule using the BATS2 set and am about 8 series in (of 64 per team). I am wondering if I can substitute BATS3 teams for the BATS2 teams that were “born” in the 1960s and 70s (Angels, Astros, Rangers, Padres, Mariners, Royals, Brewers, Mets, Jays, Expos), since they would all be at least a little more competitive. My question is if doing this would mess up my collections with having more players added to those teams’ statistics. Any thoughts? Any one ever try something like this? I know I should leave it alone, but having more than a half dozen teams lose 110 plus games isn’t going to be a lot of fun. I am thinking of it as a team calling up its AAA prospects when the season is lost.
