Release 3.2.04
-
Today we deployed Version 3.2.04, including the following game play corrections and improvements:
Rare Play - Runner on Third Base - Fielding Two, Die Result: 1:
Play had an issue with processing batter being out trying for third on the standard play result, result will now properly award a run to 3rd basemen and have the batter out trying for third.Master Game - Runner on First Base - Fielding Three, Die Result: 21:
Batter was awarded an extra move on sac play by accident, causing runner on 1st to disappear from the field. Sac result has been corrected to award the batter with 1 unearned move and have the runner on 1st properly move to 2nd base.Micro Managers:
Fixed an issue where eligible relievers on team rosters were not being considered when MM’s were evaluating substitutions. Micromanagers should now more consistently bring in relievers for smaller team sizes and when pinch swaps are made.Thank you,

In addition to the usual fixes and whatnot, we’ve been doing some work on optimizations of baseball under the hood.
This patch also introduces some changes to Collections to better accommodate very large Collections. You will notice the games and standings tab load when you first access a Collection, and clicking on batting, pitching, etc. triggers an additional load of data for only that tab. Once loaded, the data remains available on that tab and there are no further loads. This will decrease the amount of time needed to get into a large Collection, and reduce the time it takes to see the data you need. In a smaller Collection, the changes will barely be noticeable. We will be making further adjustments to Collections in our next release, including corrections to the way averages are calculated in total fields, and more.
We also undertook a general optimization pass on database queries used across the application. Currently under scrutiny are changes to the processes used for Autoplay games. A database cleanup will occur over the next few days where unnecessary records are removed from the database. And more optimizations will be included in the next patch.
This optimization and efficiency work is being carried out to prepare Baseball for its eventual integration into the new apbago.com platform, and will take a few releases to complete.
As always, please let us know if anything changes (negatively) and affects the things you normally do with the app.
Thanks,
Jeremy
