Pinch hit and pinch run in Solitare mode

Hi, seem to have trouble substituting a pinch hitter and pinch runner. Changing pitchers works fine. Help!

Are you remembering to first hit the ‘pitch’ icon for the team in the field?
In solitaire, you can’t make roster adjustments for the hitting team until the pitch is thrown.
