Ron Guidry 1978 PERFECT GAME ALERT

I coached both teams with the '78 Yankees and Red Sox at Fenway and Ron Guidry threw a perfect game against the Bosox! Chris Chambliss provided the only runs with a 2-run bomb! Has anyone ever had a no No much less a perfecto? I’m mostly a Pirate fan bur love playing the Yankees and Red Sox so this was really fun!

I have had a few no hitters in my Greatest National League and Greatest American League game projects; I don’t think I’ve had a perfect game yet.

I’ve experienced two no-hit shutouts but in both cases, the pitcher gave up 2 walks. In one of them, the pitcher went perfect for 8 innings and gave up 2 walks in the 9th. You know the old rule: don’t talk about it while it’s happening or you’ll jinx it. Well I realized what was happening in the bottom of the 9th…apparently, thinking about it will also jinx it.
