Chance of Stealing - Based on Total Steals or Percentage

Does APBA GO have a player attempt to steal based on the number of attempts he made or his attempts divided by times on base or only his success rate? I’m trying to understand if a player who had 400 at bats and stole 2 bases in 3 attempts in a season has the same chance of trying to steal and the same chance of successfully stealing in APBA GO as a player who had 400 at bats and stole 66 bases in 99 attempts?

@wabillk Hi! The current iteration of APBA GO is based on the Basic game, and so there is no calculation to determine chance to steal. Stollen bases are determined primarily by the player’s card roll result values. My understanding is that when a card is created for a player by the Alpharetta team, some calculations are used but card values can be influenced by team performance in that season… so there is both statistics in play, and a bit of APBA magic.
In the Master Game, which we are currently developing, a more complex method of determining chance to steal is used.
Thanks,
Jeremy
