I first played APBA baseball in 1974 (1973 season) with a friend who loved Boog Powell, introduced me to the obsession that is APBA. The first year I owned 1974 and I bought every year until 1979 when I graduated high school and left to join the Air Force. My mom threw out all years cards and boards. Bought game and 1980 season, started a league in Berlin in 1981, everyone using my cards to play! Got married, had kids, put game away until 2000, got back in hoping my son would catch the fever. He preferred online gaming. Didn’t have anyone to play FTF, so sold 10 years worth of cards to local player in 2012 after losing my job and needing money. Got back in last year as a beta tester for APBA Go! I play online whenever I can, participating in several leagues. Have reservations to go to the convention for the first time this year.
