If the reliever has a split grade (ie. D(C*)), and is facing a batter who hits from the same side of the plate (ie. lefty vs lefty), the relief pitcher does not appear to get an upgrade for that first batter.
Relievers with relief-only grades (such as B*) still appear to get that first batter upgrade.

What is “Step Play” on the setup page?

Step play pauses play and allows you to see the result on the card before manually moving to the next play.

@RobNPR No, not in the Basic rules.

There are examples of ‘house rules’ where people have created something, but as far as we know, nothing official.

Lots of discussion about the “knowability” factor here, in particular, why should this one aspect be hidden when we know everything else (e.g., propensity to walk batters) about a pitcher?

Is there any chance that this could be made an option, allowing managers to decide to know or keep it hidden for a particular game?
