Earned Runs BUG
-
When a batter hits a HR ---- and at least one of the baserunners reached base on an error — ALL runs are recorded as unearned runs.
The run scored by the batter should be scored an EARNED RUN.
It is not.
This happens repeatedly and consistently.
Not only does this cause inaccurate stats — but also results in sometimes the starting pitcher getting upgraded when they shouldn’t.

I actually had this scenario happen recently. Leading off an inning for the '62 Dodgers, Maury Wills reached on error. Jim Gilliam singled. Willie Davis then hit a 3-run HR. GO correctly tabulated the Gilliam and Davis runs as earned.
Mind you, if the Davis HR had occurred with two out, THEN all three runs should be unearned. One example where GO definitely incorrectly tabulates earned runs is when a runner who reached on an error is then erased on a Fielder’s Choice. If the runner who reached on the FC later scores, his run should be unearned. But it’s not.

And it just happened again for me, with no issue. '53 Yankees vs '16 Brooklyn. Joe Collins reaches on a one-out error. Next batter, Hank Bauer, hits a two-run HR for a 2-0 New York lead. Updated box score correctly shows that only one of the runs is unearned.
