New Updates to APBA Go!
-
I heard John say on the APBA’ngs podcast that there were going to be some major upgrades to APBA Go announced at the convention. Any guesses? Or wishes?
-
Wishes: End of game recap no need for double plays…replace with more important game stats, RBI, Hits etc
-
I would love the opportunity to edit incorrect box score stats before sending them off to Collections. The game is now extremely good for stat accuracy. But there’s still the occasional time that earned/unearned runs are tabulated wrong. (And, on very rare occasions, things like AB’s or RBI’s.)
-
For me, it would be tools to do a season replay: as-played schedules, line-ups, transactions, etc.
-
Just thought of another one. Would really like to see individual fielding ratings come into play, like in the Advanced Fielding Options on the basic game boards. At this time, there’s often no reason to make late defensive substitutions on GO because they often don’t reflect any change in the fielding column.
-
didnt john just state they are behind the scenes upgrades that we will not notice?
I really hope we will see something major.
-
I would like to see the pitcher’s grades reflected by numbers instead of letters and right handed/left handed batter splits taken into account in play results (SA-1, PL-2, PR-4) etc. These are things I’m used to from the advanced game.
-
Not a game play issue, but I’d like games where you roll your own dice count towards the “rating points”. I know the points don’t mean anything. But, its like the great Klingon Worf said “If points don’t matter, then why keep score.” :)
-
When will they announce the update or what to expect?
-
At the convention in June.
-
Lets revisit an old request… Please start with the “Pitch” bar already enlarged. I believe the vast majority of us do this. In my case, I have played 977 games so far. Which means I have clicked that little “+” button over 9,770 times… Oh the humanity!
-
AI managers (all 3) are horrible about about pinch hitting for pitchers. They consistently let the pitcher bat before making a pitching change. I would love to see the managers tweaked in this regard.
-
Leave the batter card there a little longer (without needing step play). I hate having John Milner get a HR and I am looking at Ed Kranepool’s card.
-
The post game summary is useless. No need at all to have the SS, 2B and 1B listed because they made a double play. Replace with RBI, extra base hits…anything.
-
As played schedules and a solid AI to play solo vs the computer.

So does anyone know what John said at the convention regarding GO?
