I’ve had very little success with Malcolm or Pedro. They both make very strange decisions. I often play with older seasons and none of the pitchers have the relief pitcher *. Even if I make all the starters unavailable, it doesn’t help. Malcolm is notorious for picking any random player, such as an outfielder, as a relief pitcher, even if that player doesn’t have a pitching grade. Pedro tends to leave starters in even when they are getting shelled, or will pull the starter early and let the reliever pitch 6 or 7 innings. I’ve had Pedro let a reliever give up 5 runs and not pull him. For now, I’ve given up on the auto-managers and continue to hope they get fixed one day.

Am just curious… when playing with a micro manager (which admittedly, I never do) do you not still have the pre-game option of clicking ‘thumbs down’ on players who are not eligible to play that day? (ie. other starting pitchers, tired relievers, injured players?). Because that’s a great solution whenever I’ve played solitaire games on Autoplay.

@fjs080850 Yes, we continue to make progress on developing the Master Game.

We hope to have it available for some game modes in Q4.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

@wabillk Hi! The current iteration of APBA GO is based on the Basic game, and so there is no calculation to determine chance to steal. Stollen bases are determined primarily by the player’s card roll result values. My understanding is that when a card is created for a player by the Alpharetta team, some calculations are used but card values can be influenced by team performance in that season… so there is both statistics in play, and a bit of APBA magic.

In the Master Game, which we are currently developing, a more complex method of determining chance to steal is used.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

@TSBL So right now the search is actually under the roster, and it does work, with minor display issues. But I was talking to the dev today and we agree it is not a great implementation (sometimes you can get stuck scrolling the roster instead of the page, so you never see the search). We’re going to keep working on it and will change it in the next few days.

Was curious, so I set up a solitaire game on my iPad.
Using a Safari browser, I am getting the same issue described above (with icons covering the player’s card in lower left)…

The issue is fixed when I switch to a Chrome browser (again on the iPad). However, that results in the names of the players no longer being visible in those little red and blue bars that appear on the playing field…

    Weird.

    @jnoga Hi!

    Not at this time.

We use the lineup selection screen to create and save lineups, and that requires a game to be generated.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Hi! It probably means that your outfielders have an OF position assigned to them, rather than LF/CF/RF.

If you make the assignments, it will become valid.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy
