I am going to try something and see how it goes. I want you (meaning anyone who reads this) to vote on who the Series MVP should be. Here are the candidates.

    Name: ------ Games: ---- AVG/SLG/OBP HRs RBIs

Buster Posey ---- Games: 7 .296/.407/.367. 0 HRs 3 RBIs (had the game winning hit in the top of the 9th in game 7).
    Michael Morse ---- Games: 4 .375/.875/.412 2 HRs 8 RBIs
    Brandon Belt ---- Games: 7 .480 /.920/.500 2 HRs 12 RBIs

Please send who you think should win to my email at: dbacknate@gmail.com.

Game 1: New York Mets (0) @ Kansas City Royals (2).
Jhonny Cueto pitched 8 shutout frames allowing only 4 hits and striking out 7. Wade Davis retired the side in order in the top of the ninth.

    NYM Leads Series (1)-(0).

Game 2: New York Mets (2) @ Kansas City Royals (7).
Four home runs by the Royals in the 7th and 8th innings completed a rally to go up 2 games to none in the Fall Classic.

Typo in previous post fixed: KC leads series (1)-(0)

    KC now leads series (2)-(0).

Will the Mets ever win anything again after embarrassing my Red Sox in 1986?

@BuffaloHead :I sure don’t know. The team they have now that Van Wagenen has put together has some major “if’s”. Do you think they are going to make the playoffs?

@dbacknate I always say no to the Mets making the playoffs. It is the safe bet.
