dice roller

Any chance of adding a dice roller on the screen with some dice actually rolling for a set time or until player wants to stop?

@mariner Thanks for taking the time to share your idea. I think we’d have to test the community to gauge interest before committing one way or the other, but consider it on the list!

I like that idea and will bring back up the related topic and that is…for me the dice are very hard to read and as a result I never look at them and just look at the verbage …I would throw out 2 things…improving the visability of the dice…and creating a time lag ( maybe that is already an option) from seeing the dice roll and the result…I may be overstating but for me a huge component of this game is looking at the dice roll…it is great anticipation and you almost always know the play result once you see the dice…for me this is missing in the APBAGO experience and would be great to have it.

Maybe it could be another option under step play that you can turn on and off. Show roll of dice and delay and hit a button for verbiage after roll.

@mariner
Entertaining idea, but I don’t think it would have an effect on me except to have to click one more time in Game Setup. -
@backstreets I would love the dice in the middle of the screen…I don’t like where it currently is. Both the dice and text should pop up under scoreboard?
-
@mariner Add me to the list that would like this idea!

The dice should be more prominent. I agree with those that said they were hard to see. A rolling animation with a toggle to turn it off/on (or set the duration of the roll) pre-game, with a click in-game to bypass the duration when desired would be nifty.

@nyapba Just found out if I click on chat I can move the dice and text to the middle of screen under the scoreboard!

I just assumed most choose the “manual dice roll” option for each game. I always have, ever since GO first made that option available. (Can’t recall whether that was right from the launch.) I still have to have the feel of the dice in my hand…

@apba-go-jeremy …a dice feature would be nice to be able to see better…but the dice really need to provide the number and the results quicker. I can play a game quicker than GO can.

@mariner I love the idea of a dice roller. I use an app on my phone which is pretty basic and I think it would work perfectly with GO. would also love to see card flips as if I was holding the lineup in my hand. A lot of the game’s appeal is tactile, the physical touch of the cards and rattle of the dice.
