Hello Everyone…Dom Provisiero from New York checking in. I was introduced to APBA Baseball in 1968 by my neighbor while shoveling during a snowstorm. We were talking baseball and when we took our first break he brought me inside and showed me these magical cards. I was hooked as soon as I saw them.
In 1982 a fellow APBA player and I formed the O.Z. League using the strike shortened 1981 season set. We are still going strong 35+ years later.
I was elected to the APBA Hall of Fame in 2009 so next year I celebrate 10 years of APBA Fame ! The best part of APBA in my opinion is the many friends I have made over the years. Many of them have become like family to me. The topping was a few years ago when I got married the officiator was my 30 year APBA buddy. A true circle of life.
I’m former Law Enforcement ; now working for a company called Safariland which is a global company that sells body armor, holsters, etc to Police agencies everywhere.
I firmly believe that if everyone played APBA what a wonderful world this would be. -
