Hit & Run Option

Has anyone else come across this?
Runner on 1st base…I cannot choose to Hit & Run with batter if the Runner on First is not rated F (fast)?

I know that is not a BBW or Master Game rule. Is it specific just to GO ?

NYAPBA, I hit and run a lot and have never noticed the option “missing” in the basic game. I have come across situations when playing the master game where that option is not on the screen.

Hey Dom,
The H&R option is based on the Steal/Allowance rating and when the H&R is allowed in the Master Game. I believe the restrictions are on page three of the Master Game insert - Instructions for using the Master Game
Addition to APBA Pro Baseball Board Game™: “The hit-and-run play may not be called if the runner on first has a steal allowance letter (SAL) of R or N. If his steal allowance letter is G, his SSN must be, without adjustment, less than 28. There is no restriction on any other steal allowance letters for the hit-and-run play.” - Steve
