…cannot start Dylan Lee for the Braves, even though he started game four for Atlanta, because he didn’t start a game during the regular season.

Obviously, he only got one out and was pulled, but if I’m going to follow as-played lineups, the ability to start someone who actually started would be good (even if it’s just a postseason start). I get that it’s an odd situation, but is there nothing that can be done for us sticklers for as-played lineups?

@ktomasch I suppose we could add a ‘Start any pitcher’ config option when creating a game but it seems like a fringe case, no?

It does, indeed, as it is rare for someone to start a World Series game without having started a game in the regular season. (Though Jim Konstanty did it in game one in 1950, quite famously.)

Or you could just turn off whatever functionality it is that is keeping a reliever from being clicked on to set him as the starting pitcher.
