Defensive clarification

A question about how individual and team defense impacts results in APBA GO.

I have 36 points of infield defense total, and my opponent rolls a 28. Is the outcome under the Fielding One results (Safe at 1st, runner out; FC; A-SS PO-2B) or is it governed by my shortstop’s individual defense.

If I have 34 points of infield defense total, same question.

Go only uses total defense. infield and individual ratings do not matter just total defense. Fielding 1 and 2 not bad and very equal for errors at about a .982 fld % however but massive fall off if you go sub 36 total into F3
