Glitch: Batter retired on 2nd-column 7 on H&R
-
'34 Cardinals at '19 Reds in a GTOP solitaire game.
With a runner (Orsatti) on first base, the Cards try a hit-and-run against Cincinnati’s Hod Eller (A-YZ).
Durocher rolls a first-column ‘0’ and a second-column ‘7’, but is incorrectly thrown out at first.
Eller’s A-grade should not come into play here, as I understand the master booklet.
Will send details to GO Support.

Actually, the play is correct.
From the APBA Basic Hit and Run, Runner on First:
#7 SINGLE to right, runner to third (AGAINST GRADE A, A&C or A&B PITCHERS, see result No. 26 below)
#26 Out at first, runner to second A-2B PO 1B
Hope this helps.

Nope, the H&R results come from the APBA H&R chart. Certain results are modified by pitcher’s grades. Rember, it isn’t the normal batting chart where second column results don’t get modified. Hope this helps.

@jsbennett I disagree. The most recent game booklet (published 2013) says SECOND-column 7’s and 8’s are NOT subject to change because of Pitcher’s grade. Since APBA GO didn’t come out until 2016, the play result described above would be incorrect…

This issue continues to come up. I had a second column 8 hit and run yesterday and it got scored as an out should have been a single.
Is this issue being looked at and corrected?
