Reliever Grade Advancement for First Batter
-
In my recent games, there seems to be inconsistency with when relievers are getting a grade advancement for the first batter they face. (This is new for Release 2.3.0)
Sometimes a relief pitcher starting a new inning gets the upgrade. Sometimes he doesn’t.
Sometimes a reliever entering a game mid-inning gets the upgrade. Sometimes he doesn’t.
I haven’t yet been able to figure out the criteria. Can anyone help? -
@RandySteinman relief *pitcher has to pitch from same side as batter ie. lefty vs lefty
also if you put in a starter (no*) as a reliver you wont get the advancement

@TSBL Great stuff. Thanks!

Thanks @APBA-GO-Jeremy Although, I’m almost certain I have seen a one-batter grade advancement for a new reliever starting a new inning (or half inning). I could very well be wrong. If I see it again, I will post a screen-shot pic here.

@RandySteinman Thank you. There’s at least one other instance where it’s broken, and we’ll be fixing it up next patch.

@APBA-GO-Jeremy yea it gives the advance when the inning starts as well as mid inning. at least in solitaire

How do you make a grade adjustment to a pitcher?
-
@Morrisp At this point, other than using the Optional Pitching Rule, there is no way to make a direct grade change to a pitcher. But we hope to have card-level customization available in the future.
Thanks,

@TSBL Yeah. Lots of ground to cover before we get there, but it’s on the list.
