If I want to play a series vs micro manager
-
@sloef Currently we have only one Micromanager:
“Malcolm tends to be a modern era manager so his starting pitchers will get pulled if they give up 5 or more runs. He likes his bullpen and tends to use it as early as the 6th inning. Malcolm tends to let his players swing away and likes to stick with his starting lineup.”
I’ve also heard him described as playing ‘like it was the final game of the WS’.
We will be including better MM options in the future, but we’re stuck with Malcolm for the time being.

What I think he may be saying Jeremy, is that he wants to be able to choose the starting pitcher for the micro manager instead of letting the micro manager do it. Having the ability to over-ride micro-manager choices would be awesome. If you are doing a reply (like I do most of the time), you are using actual lineups and pitchers. I have to play against myself solo, but it would be cool to put one team on micromanager, but let me choose the lineup and starting pitcher. I could also over ride any subs they try to make or bring in my own subs if I wanted. Basically just think of that mode as my daughter rolling the dice for the other team. =) (Which BTW, she does for me occasionally in C&D). It is kind of a pain to click pitch and hit twice when playing solo.

@bstark Ah, I see. I think we’ll get to all of that functionality eventually. Setting the MM starting lineup/pitcher is in this sprint, and I think we’ll start work on it but might not finish it. So let’s say… 3-4 weeks? If we get a good wind… and the stars align… and nothing breaks ;)

@sloef There is the Solitaire option in which you can control the pitching and lineups for each team, but you then have to make decisions without Malcolm’s assistance.
