Unusual Plays and Error Distribution as well as "Reliever 1st batter advancement."
-
BEING A LONG TIME DICE PLAYER FOR APBA BB, I have been accustomed to playing the game while occasionally referring to a UPC (unusual play card for player card results #23-41) and an EDC (error distribution card for player card results #15-21). The use of these “cards” allows added realism in order to randomize the otherwise limited outcomes that otherwise result from these “relatively unusual” plays.
An additional key difference regards relief pitchers entering the game in the middle of an inning (in APBA GO they retain their original grade and do not improve a grade for the first batter faced). The current APBA GO BB GAME does not appear to have such a remedy for any of these situations; nor is there an obvious way to incorporate this into the game as is (at least as far as I can determine).
IS THERE ANYTHING “IN THE WORKS” THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR THE INCORPORATION OF A UPC OR EDC IN THE FUTURE? LIKEWISE, IS THERE ANY WAY TO MANUALLY ALTER THE GRADE OF A RELIEF PITCHER FOR THE FIRST BATTER FACED? (Things that are optionally possible with the original dice game).CURT
