Season Replays and Custom Teams Problem
-
I’m curious if anyone else has figured out a solution to a problem that I’m having. I’m trying to do a replay of the Mets 2019 season using the actual lineups, but I keep running into problems when the players in the lineup or pitching for a certain day aren’t on the Mets roster in APBA. I got around this by creating a custom team, but then the stats don’t go towards the Mets team in my collection…instead, I have 2 teams in the collection, one normal and one custom. It would be awesome if I could find a way to combine them so that I could see the accurate cumulative stats. Has anyone else experienced this or figured out a solution? Thanks

I think the only way to combine the stats would be to do it outside of Go. You’d have to export your stats to excel and do the combining in there.
I’m doing a 1957 White Sox replay, and because I knew I wanted to adhere to in-season roster changes, I started out using custom teams right from the get-go. Sorry, that’s not very useful to you as your project is already in flight. But I think that is your best option for any future projects where the rosters will change as the season goes along.

@alecotto75 yes, that’s what I’m thinking too. I will do the same in the future, starting out with a custom team from the get go. Ah well, you live and you learn! Thanks for the advice!

you could create a collection for the custom team then go into the game history tab and click on the collections tab of each game and add the new collection to the game. That would give you all the games in your custom team’s collection. Depending on how far along you are, it could be a long process. I have done this with a couple of leagues to get career stats.
