CLEVELAND BLUEBIRDS @ MILWAUKEE
Hart (D) vs. Husting (D)Game 3 of a 3 Game Series
BREWERS HIT ANOTHER HOMERUN!
The Brewers had another homerun, this time off the bat of Wid Conroy. Things went badly for the Indians early on when Scheibeck and McCarthy slammed into each other. Both had to be sent to the infirmary. The Milwaukkee offense pummeled the Cleveland offerings knocking out their starter Hart in the third inning.

I am taking a weekend roadtrip to Lafayette College to see my niece perform in the pep band (ok, admittedly I will be watching the football game) and catch up on first series stats than the replay will again roll along. Thanks to the millions who are following along!

WASHINGTON SENATORS @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Carrick Cz vs. Reidy CzGame 1 of a 3 Game Series
The Senators scored two runs in the eight to close the gap to 6-3. In the top of the ninth, Washington would threaten again. With runners on first & second, Grady would double in Waldron from second but the slow footed Dungan would be cut down at the plate by a great relay throw from the shortstop Conroy. The score now 6-4. With two outs and a runner on second, Clarke singled in Grady and the lead was cut to a single run! Milwaukee’s manager panicked. He tersely yanked starting pitcher Reidy from the game in favor of hurler Garvin. The decision worked as Garvin would get the only batter he faced, Coughlin to pop out to center and end the game.

WASHINGTON SENATORS @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Lee Dz vs. Garvin BGame 2 of a 3 Game Series
Hugh Duffy cracked a four sacker and the Milwaukee team continues to resemble more of their Harvey Wallbanger future than perhaps their towne ball roots. The cranks have been, well not cranky. The ball flies through the air with such ease and it is so much fun to just watch the other team have to chase it.

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
MCGINNITY Bz vs. Reidy Cz
Game 1 of a 3 Game SeriesThe Orioles swaggered into Milwaukee brimming of confidence and smelling of cheap whiskey. They would soon add the odor of cheap, tap beer to their stench. The speedy Orioles stole four bags. Local cranks complained they saw those same bases being tossed around the local hotel after the game. Hugh Duffy continued to carry on his hit streak of 7 games but it wasn’t enough to stop these rascals from robbing the hometown crowd of its victory.

Some new stuff…
Rain outs. If rain starts and enough innings have been played for a legal game it is rained out. If the game is a tie, two dice are rolled and added together again to see how long the game lasts. If still tied a single die is rolled to see how many batters bat before again checking.
All games are called after 13 innings for darkness and will remain ties.
I may dabble with the master game at some point and if and when I do that it will be noted.I have come to the conclusion through this replay that the simplicity and elegance of the BG is for me. No extra math or figuring things out. Just pure APBA baseball bliss.

BALTIMORE ORIOLES @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Howell Cz vs. Garvin BGame 2 of a 3 Game Series
In a pitcher’s duel that would see BOTH pitchers advance to A grades, the Brewers overcame the dreaded Orioles (I hate the Orioles) on a ninth inning walk off knock by Hogriever that scored Maloney from second. Garvin has recorded the first shut-out of the season. This was the first game where you really felt the pinch on the offense of the Dead Ball Era.

PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Fraser (B) vs. Reidy (Cz)Game 1 of a 3 Game Series
The Philadelphia Athletics came into Milwaukee sporting a rookie manager by the name of Connie Mack. He praised his defense to the local newspaper but that very same defense committed three errors to only one by the Brewers. No matter, Chic Fraser leaned hard on his B grade to get out of jam after jam and the first game for Mr. Mack was a success. I wonder if he will last?

PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Plank (Bz) vs. Garvin (B)Game 2 of a 3 Game Series
At one point Eddie Plank of Connie Mack’s A’s sat down twelve batters in a row but that wouldn’t be enough to silence Hugh Duffy. Duffy, who has a hit in every game, drove Gilbert home in the ninth with a walk off knock to hand this game to the hometown Brewers.
PHI (A) 001 000 000 - 1 8 0
MIL 100 000 001 - 2 6 0WP- Garvin
