APBA BBW 5.75 vs APBA Go
-
I have been a APBA Baseball Board Game player for many years. The board & cards traveled with me as I served in the US Army. I love the roll of the dice, looking up the results on the hitters card and finding the play on the board(S).
Then someone told me to try APBA GO and I really like it. Especially with displaying the hitters in the lower left corner of the window, and the dice roll.
Also, someone else told me to try BBW 5.75 so I bought it and have tried using it. But to me the computer seems to do all the playing of the games and I don’t see an option to display the hitters in the lower left of the window.
To me BBW is hard to tell what to do with base advancement, etc as you don’t have the players cards to use for cues.
My friend that suggested that I try BBW is interested in leagues, and I’m OK with that, but APBA GO seems to have the advantage of being the Board Game on the computer.
Please give me any thoughts of which I should play, BBW 5.75 or APBA GO.
Thanks for your help.

APBA Go is the basic game. BBW 5.75 is (more or less) the Master Game - you make most of the steal and runner advancement decisions. There are some more defensive options (holding runners, or throwing for baserunners). There are more pitcher grades and pitcher fatigue.
