Can't get APBA Go to work on 1st Generation iPad

Does anyone know if there’s a setting on my iPad I need to make? Or is it just not going to work on that generation iPad? I can get to the screen to start playing (after choosing pitchers and lineups), but nothing shows up on the field. No players, batter, etc. Just the empty field.

My wife has a 2nd generation iPad and it works fine.

@shaps It will depend on the OS version moreso than the device. If you are running the latest version of iOS, it should work.

I’m running 9.3.5 which is the latest I think I can get on this iPad. Thanks for your help!
